Lyme disease is the fastest-growing vector-borne disease over the last two decades, with up to 476,000 estimated cases per year across not only rural environments but also suburban and urban areas.1-4*

The ticks responsible for Lyme disease (Ixodes scapularis) are extremely small, difficult to detect, and can be missed. A missed bite from a tick infected with the bacteria that cause Lyme disease can delay conversations and diagnosis—potentially leading to serious long-term health consequences. Prevention starts with helping your patients understand their personal risk and proactively reassessing their protection methods.5,6

Everyday places can be a risk for contracting Lyme disease

Most tick exposures and Lyme disease cases occur around the home, linked to common outside activities.7-9
